Hello Linsford families,
As many of you are aware, our support staff are back to work and our team is excited to be back together again! This is a great picture of them watching the morning announcements and hearing all the welcoming cheers.
All students who have been away or had adjusted programming (EIPK) will be back to school this week as well.
One of the changes that was implemented over the past few weeks was to have all students come in the main entrance. This was a positive change for a number of reasons and we will continue this new routine moving forward. Students will continue their after school routine of going out their various exits at the end of the day.
We are looking forward to the family dance this coming Thursday evening and hope to see many of you there! It is a glow in the dark theme, so wear something light/white/bright. You can see the poster in the update for additional details.

UPCOMING SCHOOL EVENTS
ASSEMBLY UPDATE
We are continuing with our kindness challenges and we have filled two more charts of 100 kind acts. Way to go Leopards! Draws were made for the second chart at the assembly and one student had his name drawn 3 times. Congratulations Lawson on being an amazing KINDNESS CHAMPION!
The other prize winners will receive their prize early this week.
As part of our cooperation/team work theme, we did some really fun activities, including chanting and clapping to "We will rock you".
Last, but not least we acknowledged and recognized World Down Syndrome day by wearing our funkiest socks. You can see a fun video and some great images below.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY
Students and staff were very much into the Irish spirit and many dressed up in green for this fun and festive theme day!
GR. 1 LEARNING CENTERS
Our grade one students were really enjoying math and literacy centers this past week.
RECESS CLUB
Recess club is an activity group that happens in the gym for every morning recess. We started out with just a few students and now many choose to drop in to try out the various games of tag that we play. So much fun! This week we had to do a walking/hopping/bear crawl version due to the large group, but the students enjoyed the variation. We are looking forward to some warmer weather and a dry field to play a school wide game of capture the flag in the month of April.
FLOOR HOCKEY UPDATE
Congratulations to our girls floor hockey team on their outstanding effort at their tournament this past weekend. They played with such incredible heart and hustle and we are so proud of them! Thank you to Mrs. Culp, Ms. Archie, and Mrs. Giesbrecht for coaching!
The grade 5/6 boys are the only team left to play. Their tournament is after spring break and their schedule is below.

PARENT GROUPS
Our parent groups are hosting the Spring Dance on Thursday, March 27. A playground update will be coming soon, but we are very excited to announce that we have received a large donation from the City of Leduc to help us out. More details coming soon!
