06 14 26 update

Hello Linsford Families,

What an exciting week we had! We were thrilled to be able to celebrate all of our AMAZING volunteers! Our students put on a wonderful performance for those who were able to attend in person. For those who had other committments, you will be able to check out the video in the Volunteer Appreciation section in the update.

Thank you to everyone that came out to support the triathlon, that became a duathlon due to the pool cancelling the swimming portion. The afternoon turned out to be a great school-wide event with lots of excitement in the air. See the Triathlon section in the update for lots of photos and more information.

The last week and a half of school will be filled with some final learning and exams or assessments for many grades. The last day of school is June 24th. Report cards will be available on PowerSchool on June 24th at the end of the day.

Warmest Regards,

Mrs. Kloschinsky & Dr. Murtha-Toles

TRIATHLON

What a fun LPS event! We were thrilled to enjoy this event that we co-hosted with Triathlon Alberta. Alex and his team from Triathlon Alberta set up our course, provided the bikes and helmets, provided ribbons to all participants (including a fun run for all grades at the end - even if they were not triathlon participants), and provided general knowledge and support throughout the event. Despite the swimming portion being cancelled (by the outdoor pool), our students and staff enjoyed a fabulous afternoon filled with lots of excitement, perseverance, grit, emotion, elation, determination, and joy. For those who were not active participants, they were FABULOUS cheerleaders who made signs, encouraged their peers, ran alongside, and provided lots of support!

Mr. McDonald and Mrs. Kloschinsky are excited to once again co-host a future event with Triathlon Alberta next year! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to make this event a successful experience for our students! There are lots of photos from the event that you can view below.
