Hello Linsford families,
Welcome to our new website! Black Gold School Division has finished developing all school webpages. At the moment there are some items missing from our old website and those will be transferred over in the upcoming weeks, however, the main items that you require should be present and functional. Please email us if there is something missing that you need.
All parents are welcome to join us at our parent fundraiser meeting on Monday, February 10 at 6:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
It was a short week and there is not much to report, but since our last two weekly updates did not transfer over, we wanted to repeat the dates and a few items for your information.
VALENTINE'S DAY
We will be focusing on KINDNESS throughout the month of February and there will be many opportunities to do Random Acts of Kindness (RAKs). As noted in last week's message, we are encouraging families to keep things simple with Valentine's Day cards as we are aiming to steer our students away from the commercialism of the day to support a more equitable environment for all students. We ask that there be no food treats brought in for the whole class due to the number of students with allergies. Students are encouraged to bring a special treat for themselves as part of the Valentine's Day festivities. Also, we will be having a popcorn day on Friday, Feb. 14. All students will receive a FREE bag of popcorn as a special treat from the LPS staff.

FLOOR HOCKEY UPDATE
Emails were sent home to all parents of students that came out to the sign up meeting. Please read your email carefully for details and fill out the google sign up form as soon as possible.
The floor hockey tournament dates are as follows:
Grade 3/4 boys - March 14 & 15 @ Caledonia Park School (Leduc)
Grade 4-6 girls - March 21 & 22 @ Riverview Middle School (Devon)
Grade 5/6 boys - April 11 & 12 @ Corinthia Park School (Leduc)
HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
Hot Lunch orders are ready for February and you can order any time.

We will post dates for one month at a time and our Hot Lunch days will be on Wednesday this year. Upcoming dates: Feb. 12, 19, 26 and Mar. 5.
