Hello Linsford Families,
Happy Mother's Day to all of our moms and families who celebrate this day!
We had another busy week filled with extra activities on top of our regular learning. Our students had some extra learning about good mental health this week, which includes physical, emotional, and social components. We were reminded of the importance of good sleep habits, nutrition, and connecting with ourselves and others to understand our emotions. Some truly great learning moments!
Reminder: Don't forget to pre-order your 2025-26 yearbook! You can order them on PowerSchool. These full color glossy books are a deal at only $20 each!
Students in grade 3-6 have started track practices. Permission forms will be on PowerSchool on Monday, May 11. More information will be sent home to the parents of students who have shown interest. The Black Gold track meet is on June 5 at Riverview Middle School in Devon.

ASSEMBLY UPDATE
We are continuing to focus on kindness and for this week's assembly we had a special story on our emotions to coincide with Mental Health week. Congratulations to this week's draw prize winners.
HATS ON FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Our students and staff really got into the spirit of honoring hats on for mental health. It was nice to see such wonderful participation!
GRADE 6 ORIENTATION VISIT TO ELJHS
Our grade 6 students had a fun visit to ELJHS to prepare for grade 7 next year. They were able to do a tour around the school, ask questions about different options that are available, and meet many of the staff.

Playground update:
We are currently working with Black Gold and their procurement specialist to choose a vendor to supply and build our playground. If all goes well, we are still hopeful for a fall build.
NEXT MEETING: June 2 @ 6:00 pm
School Council AGM meeting will be first followed by the LPSPA AGM Fundraiser meeting. Please consider joining us and having a voice in our school.
