Hello Linsford Families,
As part of our character education messaging this year, Mrs. K and our FSL, Miss Sydney, are working together to help students "Look for the Good." Our goal is to shift our daily focus toward appreciation and positivity. To make this a success, we’d love your family’s support at home. You can do this by helping your child reframe negative statements into positive actions. eg. Instead of focusing on a "No" perspective (such as "no shoving" or "no cutting in line"), encourage them to start from a place of "what to do" (like "playing kindly," "taking turns," and "showing patience"). We thank Ms. Opdendries and her gr. 2/3 class as they brainstormed some ideas for our "Look for the Good" posters for our classrooms.

Orange Shirt Day
Our staff and students wore orange shirts in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, recognizing the profound impact of residential schools across Canada.

PLAYGROUND CONSTRUCTION UPDATE!
Our missing playground parts should arrive by October 15. We still have some wood chips to finish spreading. If you have some time and you are able to help out, please call the school or email: lps@blackgold.ca and we are happy to set a time that works for your schedule. Thank you to all who have already helped us out!
We will be able to set our playground Grand Opening date as soon as the parts arrive! Stay tuned for continued updates and details.
