February 22, 2026
Hello Linsford Families,
We are excited to have our postponed winter olympic afternoon on Monday, February 23. Here's hoping the weather is warmer than it was last week! This is a reminder that we will be spending a good portion of the afternoon outside, so we ask for all students to dress accordingly: winter coat, ski pants, toque, mitts, and boots would be appreciated to keep your child dry and warm.
Our school council and fundraiser meetings are tomorrow night (February 23)! Please consider joining us at 6:00 pm in the music room and have a voice in our school!
Grade 4-6 parents will receive a unique code and a link to the Alberta Education annual assurance survey later this week. Grade 4-6 students will also be doing a student survey in a digital format this week to provide their added voice to the feedback provided to the Alberta Government.
This coming Wednesday is PINK SHIRT DAY! We celebrate Kindness as one of our key expectations throughout the year at LPS and this is an opportunity to show the importance of this messaging. We hope to see a sea of Pink on Wednesday, February 25.
Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Kloschinsky & Dr. Murtha-Toles

ASSEMBLY HIGHLIGHTS
We continued working in our cross grade country teams to work on country banners for our Olympic Ceremony! Our Olympic Rings that were created using the student hands is proudly displayed in our hallway along with some great Olympic Art and Writing that has been popping up as well. Be sure to have a look at these if you happen to be in the school.
