DALLAS ARCAND - WORLD CHAMPION HOOP DANCE

LPS students and staff were treated to an AMAZING performance and learning adventure with Dallas Arcand. Dallas was very knowledgeable and we learned so much! His dancing skills were excellent and we all really enjoyed the experience. Some very lucky students were chosen at the end to receive an autograph and one student even received a book from Dallas!

ASSEMBLY WITH MR. SWAMPY

Mr. Swampy, our BGSD Indigenous Lead Teacher, came to visit us again today. We read the story, A Man Called Raven. We learned about respect and empathy and about the importance of oral story telling. Mr. Swampy also shared an oral story about Turtle Island as part of our learning. Thank you Mr. Swampy! Our students and staff learned so much!
