Kindergarten

Kindergarten programming at LPS is a full day (every other day) program. We offer one class on Monday/Wednesday and scheduled Fridays and a second class on Tuesday/Thursday and scheduled Fridays. Kindergarten helps students transition from home to school, and helps children build important skills and behaviours in an inclusive, play-based environment.

The Kindergarten programs follow the Alberta Education curriculum, and topics consist of Language Arts and Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Phys. Ed. and Wellness, Creative Expression, and Personal and Social Responsibility.

Children who are 5 years of age by December 31 of the school year are eligible to attend Kindergarten.
